Support Student Success Initiatives

Now, more than ever, the world needs RPI — our innovative faculty, dynamic students, and fearless alumni who continue to change the world. Our students are tomorrow’s engineers, research scientists, inventors, innovators, leaders, and entrepreneurs. Your gift right now will help us invest in and empower their future success.

Today, you can make a difference by making a gift that will support student success.

Student Scholarship

One of the most personal and lasting ways to make a difference in the lives of Rensselaer students is with a gift of scholarship support. The Rensselaer Annual Fund Scholars Program provides opportunities for alumni, parents, and friends to support scholarship for multiple Rensselaer students.

Undergraduate Student Relief Fund

This is an emergency fund for Rensselaer students who face financial hardship that threatens their academic progress during their time at Rensselaer. This fund supports current undergraduate students whose financial situation has abruptly changed in a manner which may impede their continued enrollment at Rensselaer. The Undergraduate Student Relief Fund provides one-time grants to undergraduate students in immediate need, for things like emergency travel expenses, medical bills not covered by insurance, or replacement costs for essential academic supplies or personal items.

Graduate Student Relief Fund

Similar to the Undergraduate Student Relief Fund, this emergency fund provides needed assistance to graduate students who face unexpected expenses that could jeopardize their success at Rensselaer.

Class of 2023 Senior Class Gift

This year, the Class of 2023 has chosen to support the Student Relief Fund as their senior class gift. All money raised by our newest graduates will help students experiencing financial hardship.

Diversity Initiative Fund

Rensselaer remains dedicated to educating future generations of leaders to address the challenges facing our world. In order to do this, we must attract, enroll, and retain the most talented students, regardless of socioeconomic background. The Diversity Initiative Fund supports initiatives focused on the recruitment of diverse populations of prospective students. The fund ensures visitation opportunities and continues recruiting for diverse populations of prospective students through the Office of Admissions so those students can experience first-hand all that a Rensselaer education has to offer.

Bridge Scholars Program Fund

For over 30 years, the Bridge Scholars Program has allowed entering students to participate in rigorous academic instruction and to develop the skills necessary for academic and personal success at Rensselaer. Help us continue the tradition of providing an exemplary Rensselaer education to talented under represented students.

NRB Grants

Navigating Rensselaer and Beyond (NRB) provides opportunities for incoming first-year students to meet their classmates and bond through different overnight trips around the region. With your support, many students who are unable to cover the out-of-pocket cost of these trips will be able to experience this fun and enjoyable opportunity as they begin their undergraduate career.

I-PERSIST Mentor Program

A collaboration between the School of Science and Division of Student Life, this program is designed for first-year students registered for Calculus I, Chemistry I or Physics I during the fall semester of their first year at RPI. Students are assigned into small groups, and sessions are run by an undergraduate student mentor, with a focus on skill-building and subject-specific academic support.
